Principal's Message

 

Dear La Tijera TK-8 Academy of Excellence Community,

 

I am thrilled and honored to introduce myself as the new principal of La Tijera TK-8 Academy of Excellence Charter School. It is with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of commitment that I embark on this journey alongside you. I look forward to getting to know each of you and collaborating to foster a vibrant and successful educational environment.

 

Allow me to share a bit about my background and my philosophy as an educational leader. I have spent 15 years in the field of education, with the last being in the position of assistant principal. During this time, I have had the privilege of working with diverse student populations, talented educators, and engaged parents. My experiences have reinforced my belief that education is a collaborative effort that thrives on the foundations of respect, open communication, and a shared vision for our students' future. I believe students deserve to learn in a safe, clean, positive and rigorous, learning environment that will cultivate them to be college and career ready. It is important to me that scholars learn to be self-motivated critical thinkers and problem solvers so they are able to accomplish their goals and be successful in life.

 

At the core of my educational philosophy is the unwavering belief that each student is unique and possesses the potential to succeed academically and personally. I am committed to fostering a learning environment that values diversity, encourages curiosity, and provides equitable opportunities for all students to thrive. Together, we will continue to build upon the already remarkable successes of LaTijera while also embracing new challenges and opportunities for growth.

 

I am dedicated to open and transparent communication, and I look forward to working closely with all members of the school community, including students, parents, teachers, support staff, and administrators. It is through these collaborative efforts that we can make a lasting and positive impact on the lives of our students.

 

I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and am deeply committed to maintaining and enhancing the excellence that LaTijera is known for. Together, we will continue to create a supportive, inclusive, and academically rigorous environment that empowers our students to become responsible, compassionate, and successful individuals.
